T-Bulk sells its last bulk carrier to Navalmar

Carrara-based T-Bulk, part of Tirrena Group, is in the process to sell the last vessel  in its fleet to compatriot Bogazzi Group through Navalmar UK.

Several sources reported to Splash that the 1998-built Apuana D is being sold for a price in the range between $4m-$4.3m and delivery is expected to take place soon in Chittagong where the vessel is currently bound for.

This deal represents the end of T-Bulk’s experience in shipowning, although the company controlled by the Donati family will continue operating on the dry bulk market as a charterer as they have been doing for many years. Apart from the Apuana D, T-Bulk controlled another handysize bulk carrier which was sold to Chinese buyers three months ago.

Navalmar UK, instead, seems to be back in a buying mood after a long period of time where the owner Enrico Bogazzi was offloading ships, most of them sold to Chinese buyers or scrapped due to their age.
