TCC back in Japan signing for more ships

Hong Kong: Tai Chong Cheang Steamship (TCC) remains a valued stalwart of Japanese shipbuilding. The venerable name in Hong Kong shipping has added another panamax bulker order at Imabari Shipbuilding to go alongside last September’s one plus one order for 76,500 dwt bulkers at the same yard. Moreover, TCC is close to signing for two aframax tankers with another Japanese yard Namura Shipbuilding for delivery in 2016.  In an interview with SinoShip News last August TCC’s chairman Kennth Koo described aframaxes as the “true workhorses of the tanker industry”.  [10/06/13]
