Three60 Energy wins engineering work on two BW Offshore FPSOs

Energy services company Three60 Energy has won two engineering and construction contracts with Oslo-listed floater specialist BW Offshore.

Under the two contracts, Three60 will provide extensive engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) services for BW Offshore’s Catcher and Adolo FPSOs which will include brownfield modifications to the assets located offshore the UK and Gabon.

Three60 has in the past two years provided Andreas Sohmen-Pao’s floater owner with fit-for-purpose EPCC solutions, particularly in production enhancement, debottlenecking, and obsolescence.

The services firm stated that the contracts were also part of a broader global expansion of its EPCC service which has so far provided solutions in 14 different countries throughout Europe, North Africa, West Africa, South East Asia, and South America.

Earlier this month, BW Offshore announced that the BW Catcher FPSO will be working on the namesake field beyond its fixed seven-year term. The original seven-year base term of the contract expires on January 6, 2025, and from January 6, 2024, the contract is subject to a rolling 12-month termination right.

Until a termination notice is received, the contract automatically extends on a day-to-day basis beyond January 6, 2025, into the option period. If all options are used, the FPSO will work on the Catcher field until 2043.
