Tidfore wins RMB2.5bn port relocation deal

Shanghai: Hunan-based machinery maker Tidfore Group has announced that it has signed an agreement with Pizhou government in Jiangsu for the relocation of Pizhou port on the Yangtze River. Total value of the contract is about RMB2.5bn.

Pizhou port will relocate to a new port area in order to increase capacity. Tidfore will undertake a series of port relocation projects including moving current equipment and building new port infrastructure.

The relocation project is expected to start in March 2015 and be completed by the end of 2017.

Pizhou port is controlled by Xuzhou port and it is an important coal transshipment port in Jiangsu.

In November, Tidfore Group officially entered the offshore sector through an EPC contract with Brazilian company Galaxia Maritima for eight offshore vessels. [01/12/14]
