Transport corridor formed

Muscat: The foreign ministers of Oman, Iran, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have met in Muscat and signed a memorandum of understanding to build an international transport and transit corridor.

The international corridor should become operational by 2015 providing shippers in Central Asia with maritime exits to the south. Both Oman and Iran are building up their ports a great deal at the moment.  [07/08/14]
