Tristar returns to Hyundai Mipo for six product tankers

UAE-based Tristar Transport has placed an order at South Korean yard Hyundai Mipo for the construction of six 25,000 dwt product tankers.

According to shipbroking sources, deliveries of the vessels are expected in 2021. The price was not disclosed.

Tristar ordered six 49,900 dwt product tankers at Hyundai Mipo back in 2013 and took delivery of the vessels in 2016.

Tristar Transport acquired Eships in early 2016 and now owns and operates 24 chemical, oil and gas tankers.
