Triyards secures liftboat orders

Singapore: Offshore equipment fabrication and engineering yard Triyards Holdings has announced that it has started the year with two new liftboat orders worth $75.4m.

Triyards has won five new liftboat orders in the past six months with the latest contracts, for US-based operators, bringing the yard’s newbuild pipeline to eight liftoats.

“Our robust track record in liftboats coupled with the successful completion of Lewek Constellation and a variety of fabrication projects attest to Triyards; strong and diverse engineering capabilities in both the offshore oil and gas, as well as marine industries. The group remains steadfast on our service and product offerings, notwithstanding the weak oil price and the keen competitibe operating enbironment,” said Chan Eng Yew, ceo of Triyards.

Triyards also reported a record 13% jump in net profit to $8.2m for the first three months ended November 30, 2014. Revenue over the same period tumbled 37% to $56.7m. [08/01/15]
