Turkey’s Devbulk conducts more business with Maestro Shipping

Fast-growing Turkish owner Devbulk has paid some $28m to Swiss outfit Maestro Shipping for the Maestro Sapphire, a 39,800 dwt bulker built by Japan’s Saiki Shipbuilding in 2020. The high-spec open hatch box-shape bulk carrier will be renamed Devbulk Servet

This is the third purchase from Maestro in under a year. Last spring, the Deval family added two other ships from the same outfit. Also, these ships were built at the same yard as its latest purchase.

Open hatch specialist Devbulk has a healthy fleet of 12 ships built at yards across Japan, China and Vietnam. The company can trace its roots back to 1895.
