Typhoon-hit ports return to normal operations
Manila: Nearly two weeks after the Typhoon Haiyan, ports in typhoon-damaged areas have resumed normal operations with Guiuan and Estancia ports the only exception, the Philippines Port Authority (PPA) has said.
“Nearly all the ports including the highly-damaged Tacloban and Ormoc have resume commercial operation,” PPA general manager Juan C. Sta. Ana said in a statement, “Our ports are now ready to accept containerized and break-bulk cargoes including RoRo operations,” the official added. [21/11/13]
