UMW awarded ConocoPhillips Sarawak jackup contract

Malaysia’s UMW Oil & Gas Corporation has announced that subsidiary UMW Offshore Drilling has won a contract with ConocoPhillips Sarawak for the provision of a jackup rig.

UMW is assigning 2013-built UMW NAGA 4 for the project, which is for the drilling of two wells and includes options for two additional wells.

Drilling activities offshore Sarawak are scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2018, and each well is expected to take around 50 days.
