Velesto jackup contract extended by Hess

Malaysian offshore driller Velesto Energy (formerly UMW Oil & Gas) has been awarded a contract extension from Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia for jackup rig NAGA 8, operating in the North Malay Basin, offshore Malaysia.

The contract is for a duration of 18 months, with an option for further extension, and worth around $38m.

Velesto owns a fleet of seven jackup rigs.
