Wan Hai sets up jv with SIPG

Shanghai: Taiwanese shipping company Wan Hai Lines has announced that it will set up a joint venture with Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG).

The jv will mainly operate online shopping and related logistics service between mainland China and Taiwan.

Wan Hai Lines said the controlling shareholder of the company, the Chen family, has been involved in the online retail business for years, and the cooperation with SIPG is also in line with SIPG’s strategy to diversify its business.

The two companies will each hold a 50% share of the jv. [13/11/14]
