Yemen LNG terror attack thwarted

Doha: The Yemeni army foiled a suicide attack by Al Qaeda yesterday. Two cars bombs, targeting two LNG export centres belonging to the port of Balhaf in Shabwa eastern Yemen, were found and dismantled.

The Yemeni Company for LNG confirmed that operations were now proceeding as normal.

This liquefied natural gas project in Yemen is the country's largest economically, and its inception cost more than $4bn about five years ago.  [03/06/13]
