Yinson Production JV awarded FPSO charter extension in Vietnam

A joint venture between Singapore-based Yinson Production, part of the Malaysian Yinson Group, and PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) has secured a one-year bareboat charter extension for the floating production storage and offloading vessel PTSC Lam Son.

Yinson’s 49%-owned PTSC Asia Pacific has fixed the unit to PTSC until June 30, 2024, in a deal worth $27.3m, which includes a further automatic extension of six months.

The FPSO has been operating in block 1-2/97 offshore Vietnam since 2014.

Earlier in June, Yinson Production and PTSC JV won a five-year charter extension worth around $74.6m for the floating, storage and offloading (FSO) unit PTSC Bien Dong 01, operating in blocks 05-2 and 05-3 offshore Vietnam.
