Zhejiang Ouhua delays Hellenic Carriers delivery, cuts price

Shanghai: Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding has cut the price of two bulkers ordered by Greek owner Hellenic Carriers due to delays in delivery of the vessels.

Two subsidiaries of Hellenic Carriers, Ithaca Maritime and Symi Shipping ordered the two 82,000 dwt kamsarmax bulkers at Ouhua Shipbuilding in 2010. The signing price for each vessel was $34.2m.

The vessels were scheduled to be delivered in January and March of 2013. Currently Ouhua Shipbuilding has postponed the deliveries to August and September this year and price for each vessel has been reduced to $26.28m. [18/07/13]
