Singapore: A Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) spokesman said yesterday that a body was recovered from the waters a few metres off Tanoto Shipyard in the morning.
Suspected human remains were also recovered on board a half-sunken vessel on Friday evening.
The search and rescue operation is still going on, with one MPA and one Police Coast Guard (PCG) craft carrying out surface searches.
The 9pm fire that broke out on four tugboats at the shipyard in Jalan Samulun took place last Tuesday, with the fire so fierce it took authorities nine hours to douse it. [01/04/13]
