British Antarctic Survey extends charter with GC Rieber Shipping

Norway’s GC Rieber Shipping has announced that British Antarctic Survey (BAS) has declared its third option for a one-year
extension of research ship Ernest Shackleton.

The option on the bareboat charter is effective from August 2016.

The vessel has been on charter with BAS since 1999, and BAS has a further two annual extension options available.
