China’s trade figures surpass the US for first time

 

Beijing: 2012 saw China’s total goods trade surpass that of the United States for the first time.

Figures from the US Commerce Department show that the US’s total imports and exports last year stood at $3.82trn. China Customs data shows China’s total trade number hit $3.87trn for 2012.
