GE Oil & Gas secures Indonesia work from Premier Oil

GE Oil & Gas has announced that its subsidiary PT Vetcogray has been awarded a filed decommissioning contract offshore Indonesia by Premier Oil.

The work will include the shut-down of Premier Oil’s four subsea wells in the Anoa field, offshore Indonesia. GE Oil & Gas will prepare the field’s subsea production trees for removal, supporting the removal of flowlines and production umbilicals, installation of intervention hot stab assemblies and provision of annulus and flowline flanges.

“Our installed base in the Asia Pacific region dates back more than two decades and, through choosing GE to support this project, Premier has made a clear statement of the importance they place on the ability of their supply chain to provide a full lifecycle service. Our expertise will be key in facilitating the safe removal of hardware from the seabed, with minimal contamination or disturbance to the environment,” said Ian Coull, ‎ regional executive leader for subsea systems & drilling at GE Oil & Gas.

GE Oil & Gas will conduct interface testing prior to commencing the first phase of work, which is scheduled in the second quarter of 2017.
