GulfMark Offshore targets business in Mexico with new JV

GulfMark Offshore has formed a partnership with Marcos y Asociados Infraestructura y Energia to form Mexican joint venture GulfMark Servicios de Mexico in order to expand business in Mexico.

The joint venture will provide Mexican and foreign flagged OSV’s to GulfMark’s Mexican customers, with representation in Mexico City and Ciudad del Carmen.

Quintin Kneen, president and CEO of GulfMark Offshore, commented, “Partnering with Marcos y Asociados will allow us to maximize opportunities in the growing Mexican market. Strengthening our presence in Mexico and further developing our customer relationships will position our joint venture as the Maritime partner of choice in Mexico.”

Marcos y Asociados is a financial consulting and business development firm specialising in the Mexico energy industry.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
