Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian Bulk Carriers’ Singaporean subsidiary Ambi Shipping has taken a resale 55,000 dwt bulker from Lepta Shipping for delivery in the first half of 2015. The contract price is $26.6m.
Ambi is using internal funds to pay for the vessel in five installements. Ambi Shipping is a joint venture between MBC, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lightwell Shipping and Japanese trading house Mitsui & Co with the share equity set at 70% and 30% respectively. Lepta, meanwhile, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsui. [19/02/13]
