Navios Maritime Partners acquires panamax bulker pair

Navios Maritime Partners has announced that it has agreed to acquire two 75,000dwt panamax vessels for $27m in total. The vessels are expected to be delivered in June and July 2017.

According to Vesselsvalue data, the two 2007-built bulkers, Imperial and Libertas, were acquired en bloc from Croatian shipowner Atlantska Plovidba.

Navios Maritime said the two vessels are expected to generate approximately $4.6m of annual EBITDA based on the current rate environment and it is expected to finance the acquisition with cash on its balance sheet and bank debt on terms consistent with its existing credit facilities.

Following this acquisition, Navios Maritime Partners will control 33 vessels.
