Pemex extends with Fugro

Dutch geotechnical specialist Fugro has announced that Mexican oil national Pemex has extended a contract with the firm for an ongoing offshore geophysical and geotechnical campaign.

Operations are being carried out by Fugro (Mexico) in conjunction with Diavaz to support exploration drilling activities in the Bay of Campeche and deepwater locations in the Perdido area. The field program will start this month utilisingĀ multipurpose drilling, well intervention and geotechnical vessel Fugro Synergy, whileĀ the geoconsulting program will continue through 2016.

Fugro said the extension is valued at around $13m.
