Reach Subsea grabs wind farm work

Oslo: Reach Subsea has announced that it has won work from Germany’s Iberdrola Renovables Offshore for the removal of nine piles at the Wikinger Wind Farm.

The firm two week contract will utilise Ocean Installer’s construction support vessel Normand Mermaid (4,060dwt, built 2002), which is currently on a five-year charter from Solstad.

“We are pleased to see that the effort to get a foothold in the renewable market is starting to materialize,” commented Bård Thuen Høgheim, sales and marketing manager at Reach Subsea.
