Shoei Kisen offloads another handy bulker

Japanese shipping giant Shoei Kisen continues to prune its stock of handy bulkers, offloading the 2008-built, 28,300 dwt Glory Marugame to little known Greek outfit Star Marine for $8m. In June it sold a 2007-built handy to another Greek firm, Alma Shipmanagement, for $7m.

Shoei Kisen, the shipowning arm of Imabari Shipbuilding, has sold a total of nine ships this year, but still retains a huge fleet of 141 vessels, 83 of which are bulkers.
