SolstadFarstad PSV scores Statoil contract

Statoil Petroleum has locked in a SolstadFarstad platform supply vessel on a 5-year contract to support the Statoil PSV pool at the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The 2008-built Far Searcher will commence the contract in September 2017, and in the meantime an energy storage system will be installed. The vessel will be awarded class notation “Battery Power” by DNV-GL after the installation is complete.

Statoil also has an option to extend the contract with five additional one-year extensions available.

Far Searcher will become the second vessel with “Batter Power” notation in the SolstadFarstad fleet on long term contract to Statoil.
