Tanjung Offshore wins two-year Petronas contract

Kuala Lumpur: Tanjung Offshore has put months of instability behind it, announcing that it has been awarded a construction work request contract by Petronas Carigali.

The contract is with Petronas in Sarawak, and is for a two year period effective from January 15, 2015 and includes an additional one year option. Total value is around RM250m ($66.8m).

Local press says the work involves topside maintenance of Petronas Carigali’s platform for its Sarawak operations.

Tanjong Offshore had been embroiled in a lengthy boardroom battle, corruption allegations and audit anomalies. The company appears to have put these issue behind them after the faction led by Tan Kean Soon won the boardroom battle after he and three others were dumped from the board.
