Westfal-Larsen to step down at year-end

Westfal-Larsen Group has announced that 73-year-old Rolf Westfal-Larsen will be stepping down as CEO of the group at the end of this year.

Westfal-Larsen will stay on as a board member and advisor to the group.

Rolf Westfal-Larsen Jr. has been appointed CEO of Westfal-Larsen Management and Westfal-Larsen & Co., owning and operating eight chemical tankers and managing four dry bulk vessels for Saga Wego.

Additionally, Anders Nome Lepsøe has been appointed CEO of Skibsaktieselskapet Navigation, which is the owning company for Westfal-Larsen Management and Westfal-Larsen & Co., Singapore-based Masterbulk, as well as property firm J. Berstad Eiendom and Primozone Production.

Both Westfal-Larsen Jr. and Lepsøe take up their new roles from January 1. Westfal-Larsen Jr. moves from the position of COO while Lepsøe is currently serving as CFO.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
