Statoil extends charter of Solstad AHTS vessel

Statoil has extended its charter of a Solstad Offshore anchor handling tug support (AHTS) vessel by a further year from September. The daily rate was not disclosed.

The Norwegian state oil company has had Normand Ferking on contract since the vessel’s delivery from the shipyard in 2007.

Two additional one-year extension options remain attached to the original charter agreement, which was signed in September 2013.

Solstad has supplied ROV services from Normand Ferking in partnership with Deep Ocean during the three-year charter to date.
