P&P Shipping takes two handymax bulkers

Pireaus-based P&P Shipping has beaten off plenty of competition to seal two handymax bulker deals.

The company trumped 11 other bidders at an auction in Singapore to buy the six-year-old Chinese built Trident Challenger for $8.6m, according to Clarksons Research.

P&P also paid Germany’s Bremer Bereederungsgesellschaft just over $9m for the five-year-old Chinese built Amethyst.
