Commodities giants commit to Geneva Dry

Geneva Dry, the global dry bulk event, scheduled for May 2 and 3 next year, is shaping up fast. Designed to bring every rung of the dry bulk supply chain under one roof to hammer out deals and seek collaborative solutions for the sector, a host of commodity giants have agreed to speak at the Swiss event.

Senior executives from commodity powerhouses including Amaggi, Cargill, Holcim, Montfort and Trafigura have committed to the show joining a stellar cast of shipowners including the heads of Compagnie Maritime Belge, GoodBulk, Lauritzen Bulkers, Pacific Basin, SwissMarine, Taylor Maritime Investments, and Wah Kwong. Further top speakers will be unveiled shortly.

Marketing for Geneva Dry officially started just six weeks ago, and in a very short space of time the agenda has coalesced, populated with well-known figures from the dry bulk community, and the first tranche of paid delegates have signed up while sponsors from across the world have come in to support the global gathering which will take place next year at the Hotel President Wilson on the shore of Lake Geneva.

Geneva Dry has been created by the team Splash, organisers of the exclusive Maritime CEO Forum series.

Split into sectors, panels will bring together analysts, financiers, miners, tech firms, traders and shipowners to discuss where the markets are headed.

Sessions include minor bulks, agri-commodities, coal, iron ore and decarbonisation with a special digital afternoon included.

Commenting on the calibre of the speakers already signed up, Grant Rowles, Geneva Dry’s commercial director, said: “There’s no question now that next May will see the world’s first official annual global dry bulk summit with every part of the commodities supply chain coming to Geneva for what promises to be an unmissable two days.”
