Empros takes Japanese ultramax

George Makrymichalos’s Empros Lines has made its second move in the sale and purchase market this year, paying $16.5m for the Japanese built ultramax Shiny Halo, brokers tell Splash.  The BWTS fitted vessel will join six other supramax and ultramax dry bulk vessels, and two panamax-sized bulkers. 
Empros has added six ships since 2015. The newest addition was sold by Japanese bulker outfit,  Murakami Sekiyu.
