Ocyan inks semisub deal with PRIO

Brazilian offshore service provider Ocyan has signed a 730-day operation contract with PRIO, formerly PetroRio, to operate the ultra-deepwater semisubmersible rig West Capricorn.

The 2011-built rig is in Trinidad and Tobago and operations in Brazil are expected to start in August 2023.

Last October, Ocyan sealed a deal with PRIO to reactivate the unit, acquired from Aquadrill for $40m.

Ocyan has also been working with the 2010-built semisub Norbe VI for PRIO on the Frade field revitalisation and the Wahoo field development offshore Brazil.
