Paolo d’Amico to take the reigns at d’Amico International

D’Amico International Shipping has announced that chairman Paolo d’Amico will take over from Marco Fiori, who resigned last month, as chief executive officer.

D’Amico, who was also nominated as chairman of Intertanko this week, will take over from Fiori on January 1, 2019.

Commenting on the change, d’Amico said: “My personal involvement and dedication is to confirm, in an important moment for DIS, the d’Amico Group’s commitment to the success of the Company, and my appointment as CEO will assure continuity on governance and all business operations. The Company has a clear vision for the business and a strong and experienced management team that will allow it to achieve it.”

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
