Perdana Petroleum awarded more work for AHTS vessels by Petronas

Malaysian offshore marine support services firm Perdana Petroleum has won new contracts and an extension from Petronas for three anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels worth around $8.4m.

The company’s subsidiary Perdana Nautika has received work orders totaling $4.8m for the deployment of two anchor handling tug and supply vessels. Both contracts have already started and include utilisation of 203 and 223 days, with the same extension options, respectively.

In a separate Bursa Malaysia filing, Perdana Petroleum said its subsidiary bagged an extension for an additional AHTS unit worth $3.6m. The contract has been extended from up to 292 days to 226 days with a 60-day option for extension.

The deals include crews and equipment to perform 24-hour services for assisting and/or servicing drilling rigs, offshore installation, derrick barges, towing and anchor jobs.

Earlier this year the company also secured charter contracts by Petronas for three AHTS units worth around $2.3m.
