PGS scores 4D survey contract in Northern Europe

Oslo-listed seismic player PGS has won a 4D contract in Northern Europe for an independent energy company.

The company is scheduled to mobilise its Ramform Tethys vessel for the survey in late April. The project will have a total duration of approximately 30 days.

“We are very pleased with this contract award, marking the start of the Northern Europe summer season for the Ramform Tethys. By combining the Ramform acquisition platform with our proprietary multi-sensor GeoStreamer technology we will quickly provide the client with high-quality 4D seismic data,” said Rune Olav Pedersen, president and CEO of PGS.

In related company news, PGS and its joint venture partners, TGS and SLB, started a 3D seismic project in the Penyu Basin off Malaysia on Wednesday.

The vessel used for the project is the Ramform Sovereign and will cover approximately 7,800 sq km. Acquisition completion is anticipated in July 2024, and processing completion is projected for June 2025.
