Siem Offshore scores MPSV contract extension

Siem Offshore has secured a contract extension for its multipurpose support vessel Siem Dorado.

The contract will commence in direct continuation of the vessel’s current employment and operations are expected to be primarily outside the North Sea, the Norwegian owner and operator said.

In November last year, Siem fixed the 2009-built MPSV for a firm period of one year with options attached for further extensions.

The extension will keep the ship utilised for a period reaching towards the end of the second quarter of 2024.

Earlier this month, the Cayman Islands-incorporated firm also bagged a contract extension for the 2010-built anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel Siem Topaz in Taiwan into the fourth quarter of 2024.
