Tsakos books aframax pair at Daehan Shipbuilding

Greek owner Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) has ordered two LR2 aframax tankers at South Korea’s Daehan Shipbuilding.

Deliveries are scheduled in October 2019 and January 2020.

TEN has been optimizing its fleet, having completed a 15-vessel renewal program in the fourth quarter of 2017 and last month selling its oldest VLCC, the 1998-built Millennium for demolition.

TEN currently operates a fleet of 63 vessels made up of 61 tankers and 2 LNG carriers.
